Whether managing the Rolling Stones “Steel Wheels” Tour VIPs or singing back up for the legendary Drifters; elevating Waldy Malouf eateries to must-taste epicurean destinations, Greer has been a project, tour manager and part of management teams for such pop acts like Ebony Bones, Jessica Simpson, Wyclef Jean, Prince and managing digital content for rock acts such as Eddie Money to The Fabulous Thunderbirds to name a few. Greer takes her energy, know-how and access into every endeavor.
Greer’s first taste of the restaurant business came in 1998, when she was hired as the Catering Sales Manager at celebrity chef Waldy Malouf’s, four star Beacon Restaurant. Greer reported directly to owner Jennie Emil, the director of Sales and Catering at Windows on the World, Beacon’s parent restaurant. By aggressively pursuing sales and thinking of out of the box ways of driving sales, she repeatedly produced numbers well above her budgeted goals year after year.
After Beacon, Greer accepted the challenging role of Manager and Event Coordinator at Grand Restaurant & Lounge in downtown Stamford, CT. Grand created the position of sales coordinator to increase traffic in the restaurant and generate buzz about this hot spot. During Greer’s 4 1/2 year tenure at Grand, the catering sales increased 200% and their sales goals year over year were exceeded by over 15%. In those years, Greer was recognized with numerous awards, including Fairfield County’s “Top 40 under 40 – up and coming professional to keep an eye on.”
Next came North Star Restaurant, which, as Managing Partner she helped open in Pound Ridge NY… to stellar reviews and a “Very Good” from the New York Times. Greer’s ability to put North Star on the map through viral marketing, weekly newsletters, and reputation alone made North Star Restaurant one of the areas top restaurants and music venues to this day.
From 2012 – 2015, Greer was the co-owner and managing director of two South Norwalk, CT award-winning restaurants: Mama’s Boy Southern Table & Refuge and Jax & Co Low Country Kitchen.
Since early spring 2016, Greer has been running Peaches on the Waterfront – a “pop-up” bar on the second floor of Apricots Bar & Grill.
